Having a messy file or being behind in your BAS is not deliberate.  You had good intentions.  Time runs away from you because you are busy running a business.  Before you know it, it's TAX time AGAIN and you know you're going to have to spend the weekend getting it done.

Or maybe you thought you had someone you could trust but got it all wrong because of their inexperience.​

Over time the problem becomes so big that:

  • It has taken over your office

  • It keeps you awake at night

  • You don’t know where to start

  • You’re fearful that the ATO will call

  • You have no idea how much tax or GST you owe

  • You are completely in the dark

Generally any file that is 3 months or more behind is classed as a rescue job.

Because every “rescue job” is as individual as you are we can’t say exactly what we need to do to clean it up, get you up to date or how long it will take. During the initial consultation, when we complete a Financial Health Check, we will explain what the problems are and what needs to happen to transform your data file into a source that provides you with reliable information.

Essentially though, we will do whatever it takes to complete the rescue as quickly and efficiently as possible.

What we'll look for:

It can be scary dealing with the ATO when they are chasing you for information. So we'll take that burden from you and liaise directly with the ATO, and your accountant, while we're cleaning up the file and getting you up to date.

During the process we'll make sure:

 

  1. You've claimed all the GST credits you're entitled to.

  2. All figures on previously lodged BAS' for the current year are accurate so you don't get any ATO fines.

  3. Payment arrangements are set up with the ATO, if required, to ease your financial burden. 

  4. Super has been calculated correctly and we'll also liaise with the super funds if you're behind in payments.

  5. You're maximising all tax deductible expenses.
